The Flight toward/into Egypt – The Flight into Egypt is described in The Gospel According to St Matthew Ch 2: 13-23, in which Joseph and Mary fled to Egypt with baby Jesus after learning that King Herod intended to kill all the infants of the area in the hunt for the baby Jesus.
